Yay!!! We spoke out for the first time. We dressed up and off we went to your B.B's school tell our message. We were so excited. It went really well, mommy was really nervous as speaking to large groups has never been my thing, but with you by my side peanut there is nothing I wont/ can't do. I only fumbled my words once. :) Your B.B did a great job. He is so proud of you, and oh yes your sister loved the lime light but we already knew she would. As for you, you slept through our whole presentation. It felt so great to educate and bring awareness peanut, the gym was full of students, teachers, parents, our family and friends were there too!! Inspire.... indeed we did.
Dec 20th- We dressed up again in our colours and headed to the school this time to present Deb from DSA of Peterborough with the cheque. This is so awesome!!! DSAP is a big part of us. It feels so good in your heart peanut to give back. It was also so great to be able to show the kids how much they raised. I will will never forget the children's faces/gasp when they heard the amount. Thank you to them again. You were quite the funny boy while up presenting Deb with the cheque, she gave you the mic and you gave a big aaawww, it was so cute and all the kids laughed and you thought that was great and clapped for yourself. :) I just love your proudness of yourself. Deb was very thankful and proud of us and the school. To say thank you to the school she brought and donated the book My Friend Has Down Syndrome to the school library. So cool the kids can check it out and read it.
All and all peanut Down Syndrome Awareness week for us was awesome and a huge success. Thank you to everyone involved....
